Johnny Darrel Hughes

Johnny Darrel Hughes, 64, of Malvern passed away August 4, 2014.
Johnny was born April 12, 1950 in Providence, KY to Clarence and Rachel (Reynolds) Hughes. Johnny loved gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was a welder for DLM for 40 years. He was a member of the Bassett Hill Hunting Club and of the Baptist faith. Johnny will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Johnny is predeceased by his parents and brother, Jimmy Hughes.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ruzema (Combs) Hughes of Malvern; son, Layten Hughes; daughter, Joanie (John) McDaniel of Malvern; brother, Rodney (Maxine) Hughes of Malvern; sisters, Mary Jane (Bob) Dishman of IL, Sharon Covey of Malvern, Patricia Hughes of Malvern, Joanne (David) Crutchfield of Malvern, Lisa (Danny) Boles of Malvern; and his fishing buddy, Walt Robinson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Atkinson Chapel. Services will follow at 11:00 AM with Bro. Jackson Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Alford Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Hughes, Ryan Elrod, Joe Reid, Tracy Nichols, & Charles Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be his friends, the DLM crew, Dr. Brashears, his fishing buddy “Walt”, and all the staff at Carti in the Little Rock Cancer Clinic and the Arkansas Hospice team.
